Guernica 37 operates as a unique Barristers’ Chambers out of offices in Holborn in the heart of the legal community in London with offices in Madrid and San Francisco.  


Our work, acting for individuals, organisations, governments and political groups is spread across the globe and combines a domestic practice in the field of extradition, human rights litigation and criminal law with international advisory work that includes development work in the Balkans and East Africa, complex investigations in South Asia, human rights accountability in the Middle East and North Africa.  Our members appear before courts at all levels in England and Wales as well as international bodies such as the first permanent International Criminal Court, the ad hocinternational tribunals, and human rights monitoring mechanisms such as the European Court of Human Rights, African Commission on Human and People’s Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. 


Our members also have significant experience in bringing complaints before the UN Special Procedures Branch and other UN Treaty Bodies and is increasingly called upon to challenge Interpol warrants and represent individuals detained abroad.

We undertake international advisory work acting for individuals, NGOs, corporate entities and Governmental institutions either on direct access basis or through professional clients.
