Equality and Diversity Policy

Guernica 37 Chambers is committed to advancing equality, diversity and inclusion within Chambers and more generally at the Bar. We aim to provide a working environment and culture which values and recognises difference and tackles discrimination proactively in order to ensure that no individual or group is discriminated against. No person will at any time be treated less favourably on grounds of sex, age, marital status, religion, colour, race, nationality, ethnic origin, disability, sexual orientation, background or political persuasion.

The Policy applies to our entire organisation.

Our Equality and Diversity Policy can be found here:

Diversity Data

We adhere to our obligation to regular Diversity Data collection. Our current results (July 2023) are available here.

Provision of diversity data is an entirely voluntary process which is carried out on a two-year cycle. Chambers is permitted to exclude diversity data in relation to any characteristic where there is a real risk that individuals could be identified, unless all individuals consent.

We continue to monitor our diversity data internally and records are maintained for regulatory purposes.

Our Equality and Diversity Officer (EDO) is Mr Omar Soliman and our Diversity Data Officer (DDO) is Ms Paulina Strassburger. Further information and guidance on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion can be found on the BSB website here.
